NADINE'S WINDOW
In March 2002 actress Nadine Hanwell opened Nadine's Window at the Barons Court Theatre…Since then she has produced and directed 22 productions and 33 plays there; giving the opportunity for actors to entertain and use their talent in a variety of old and new plays. Plays range from: Lorca's "Blood Wedding," to Philip King's "Sailor, Beware!" the November 2009 production.
Nadine's Window has now evolved into a theatre company, her productions have a mixture of familiar faces and others appearing for the first time.
When Nadine was a young actress she had the opportunity to stretch herself as an actress by playing different parts in rep. this is no longer available for young actors. She feels in a small way she now has her own Repertory company at the Barons Court.
"Daisy Pulls It Off" was so successful when it played in July 2008 that she brought it back in July 2009, and was amazed that even in the hottest week of the year it still played to full houses, and was once again cheered!
2009 has been a memorable year-It began with Chloe Fontaine being awarded Best Performance in the Fringe Report Awards for her portrayal of Mrs Arbuthnot in Oscar Wilde's "A Woman of No Importance," and now in January 2010 "Daisy Pulls It Off" is transferring to the Arts in the West End…
